Paulus Surya completed his Bachelor of Theology from STT-SAAT in Malang in 1991, and Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 2013 in the field of preaching and exploring the topic of gospel-centered expository preaching.

Paul was burdened with service in the area of preaching and evangelism, and had a special interest in the topic of systematic theology. Currently, he serves as a pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Perth, Australia, guest lecturer at STT-SAAT for Homiletics courses, co-workers for the Indonesia Preaching Ministry (IPM), and speakers for various seminars and formation in many churches and Christian organizations, both at Indonesia and abroad.
